"Coaching Initiation - Cycle I" represents EEC starting point to coaching training. This program aims to:

  • Become familiar and incorporate coaching concepts at a personal level.
  • Initiate training in professional coaching core competencies.
  • Experience first-hand a 3-session coaching process as client.

Participating in Cycle I allows you to learn and practice skills to enhance your professional and personal development, as well as to lead more effectively transferring your learnings and coaching tools into your work and personal environments.

  • Executives, middle managers and team leaders who are new to coaching and who want to enhance their self-leadership, their ability to influence, the quality of their relationships and the leadership of their teams and environment.

Methodology

Cycle I Initiation in Executive Coaching is an intensive course that allows you to discover the concepts and practices of coaching through:

  • Incorporating theoretical coaching concepts into practices through classroom coaching and experiential dynamics. 
  • Individual development aimed to enhance self-knowledge and the learning of coaching tools through own experiences. 
  • A three-session individual coaching process with a professional certified EEC coach --with ICF credential at PCC or MCC level. This process aims to increase self-awareness, grow at personal/professional level and empathize with the role of the coach from a coaching client perspective.
  • Obtaining learning support with readings, assignments, videos, reflections, etc. available at EEC Campus, and a space for coach-student interrelation.

Origins of coaching | Differences between coaching and other practices | The relationship between coach and client | Boss versus Leader-coach | Increasing our leadership and personal power | Deepening the power of the question: we can ask to understand, to justify, to be a judge, to answer... | Knowing the keys to questions that invite reflection and enhance learning | Phases of a coaching conversation.

Tools for the generation of context and trust | Training of listening and empathy: fundamental skills for the coach or leadership | Being observers of communication from the three levels: body, emotion and language | Keys to a conversation for reflection versus conversation for action | Listening beyond words: what is not said | Silence as a powerful tool | Tools to favour Transformational Learning | The OSAR model: accompanying in the change of observer to obtain sustainable results | Language as a tool to create new realities.

The process of being an observer and making decisions | Difference between Facts and Opinions | Powerful questions for reconstruct the story and generating a story telling The same fact, different opinions: how we construct ourselves | The tool of the Feedback to accompany in the learning process Feedback mirror versus Feedback valuable | Guidelines for gift giving feedforward.

The power of generating Vision | Identifying hidden commitments that keep us from vision | The keys to expanding the "comfort zone" | Designing "what" we want before diving into the "how" | Sustaining results through an action plan and follow-up | Leading conversations for improved relationships | Practising as coaches with all the skills and tools worked on in cycle I.

At the end of Cycle I, students will take a written test reflecting how they have acquired and incorporated knowledge in the programme.

Each participant will work on their challenges and experience first-hand the power of coaching through an individual coaching process of 3 sessions that will take place outside the classroom hours depending on the availability of the student and the coach.

Qualification

Cycle I Initiation in Executive Coaching awards an EEC diploma accrediting 46 hours of training recognised by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the body that sets the quality standards for the practice of professional coaching worldwide.

Cycle I Initiation in Executive Coaching can be completed with the Executive Coaching Certification Program (Level 2) or with the Basic Executive Coaching Program (Level 1), both approved by ICF.  

 

Duration and Modalities

46H
(32H lessons + 6H coaching + 8 individual work)
  • 32 teaching hours in a classroom or live streaming, depending on the chosen modality.
  • 6 hours of practical coaching: corresponding to 3 individual coaching sessions with a professional coach.
  • 8 hours of individual work: homework and reading.

Admission and Success Requirements

Admission requirements

  • University education and at least three years' work experience.
  • Complete an application form and submit a profile picture.
  • Send an up-to-date curriculum vitae.
  • Conduct a personal telephone or face-to-face interview with our academic consultants.
  • Sign a confidentiality agreement, which guarantees a protected working environment for participants.
  • Be up to date with payments prior to the start of the training.
