The "Emotional Awareness" program offers an analysis, understanding, experimentation and mastery of the universe of emotions as essential elements in growth and transformation processes. A premise to this program lies in the believe that we all are more effective as leaders and/or as coaches when we know about and manage emotional ups and downs.

The programme focuses on the emotions that occur on both sides of a coaching relationship during a process of personal and professional transformation. Therefore, the coach acquires tools and resources of emotional intelligence with which to encourage their interlocutor (coachee, client, student...) to find the essential emotion with which to achieve their objectives.

Who is the target audience?

This program is aimed exclusively at certified coaches who are looking forward to:

  • Increasing their coaching effectiveness.
  • Expanding their vision.
  • Continue to learn and develop personal and professional skills and emotional intelligence.

Goals

The objectives of the program are to:

  • Learn to allow space for affective phenomenon and attempt to understand what message is bringing.
  • Acquire creative resources to enhance the work with clients, students, patients, etc.
  • Increase own awareness on biological impact of being emotional in order to better understand how our body communicates about it.
  • Improve body perception and emotional intelligence.
  • Train, within the role of accompanying in coaching or similar relation, ways of sustaining the appropriate emotion to encourage change.
  • Learn to bring classroom learnings into own lives.
  • Practice new forms of intervention based on the body, emotion and language.

Methodology

It is an experiential program, eminently practical, which invites us to go through the experience, learn from it in first person, and jointly elaborate the possible practical applications. Part of the work will be to reencounter our body as a great stage of emotions.

  • Approach, in an eminently practical fashion, the universe of emotions as essential elements in transformational processes.
  • Analysis - understanding - experimentation - mastery.

In addition, supervised coaching sessions, by a PCC or MCC coach, will allow practicing tools and consolidating learnings.

Syllabus

Going through grief is a way of accepting loss as a constitutive part of life processes and is what allows us to find new meaning in life. 

Joy binds us together, gives us health, gives us the strength to generate the future.

We will address some of the most common fears, such as fear of making a decision, fear that opportunities will not come, fear that not everyone will like us, fear that people will not agree with what we say, fear of disagreeing, fear of not being liked or accepted, fear of not having anything to offer, etc. 

Depending on how we manage anger, in terms of its degree and/or intensity, it will allow us to obtain functional responses.

Train loss of control to build greater confidence and at the same time leave space to allow others to grow. 

Disgust serves to preserve our health and integrity, and also to preserve the beliefs and customs of a given society. 

Love enables us to connect with others, with ourselves and with everything around us. 

When we allow ourselves to see the power of being ourselves, of not wearing masks, this view of weakness is transformed into strength. 

Being able to listen, manage and learn from them will allow us to face life and situations with greater resources.

If we allow ourselves to be surprised, we contribute to finding more resources to grow and become more flexible in the face of learning. 

 

Qualification

This program consists of 68 hours of training in emotional management, of which 48 hours correspond to continuing education hours, approved by ICF and represented in two CCE degrees:

Theory: 36 continuing education credits, 30 in key competences and 6 in resource development.

Practical: 12 continuing education credits, 9 in key competences and 3 in resource development.

The participant receives a Diploma of 68 hours of training as an Expert Coach in Emotional Awareness which will include the two ICF CCE accreditations.

Duration and Modalities

Coach Expert in Emotional Management has a total duration of 68 hours: 48 teaching hours that include practices supervised by a PCC or MCC coach and 20 hours of readings and assignments, which reinforce and enable the application of what has been learnt in class.
