Emotions color everything: conversations, meetings, relationships... and have a high impact on motivation, trust, commitment, coordination, creativity, innovation, in short, on results. Thus it seems essential, and we believe so, that leaders are skilled to handle and manage their own and others' emotions, so that challenges may be approached out of an enabling perspective, generating cohesive and collaborative environments to favor the achievement of objectives.

UNDERSTANDING MY EMOTIONAL WORLD

Effective leaders understand their own emotional world and how this impacts performance and their team. Identifying the meaning and usefulness of emotions allows leaders to acknowledge how emotions influence decision making, motivation and productivity.

THE POSITIVE INTENTION OF EMOTIONS

In leadership, understanding that emotions have a positive intention is fundamental. Understanding what judgments underpin our emotions will allow us as leaders to effectively address day-to-day conflicts and challenges.

SADNESS AND HAPPINESS

These emotions are part of our daily life in the professional environment (team changes, new challenges, strategy redirection, ambitious goals, etc.). Knowing how to leave room for the lucidity that sadness brings and how to foster joy in the team and around, contributes to generating a more innovative, motivating and productive environment.

FEAR AND CONFIDENCE

Identifying the different forms fear and building confidence are both essential leadership skills. Leaders who understand the impact of fear on decision making can inspire their team to face challenges with courage and confidence.

ANGER AND LIMITS
