This program is made up of three workshops, which offer an opportunity, hand on hand with Master Coach Luis Carchak, to deepen the art of individual executive coaching, through the exploration and practice of advanced strategies and tools, aligned with key competencies of the coach.

Program participants will be able to find answers to the following questions:

  • What kind of coach's gestures save unnecessary judgements from sullying the dialogue?
  • How can silence provide an optimal context for the coachee's reflection?
  • How to transmit trust and unconditionality to the client through the coach's mirror?
  • How does the coach accompany the client in his or her conflicts by playing with paradoxes?

Who is the target audience?

Active and experienced coaches with ICF ACC, PCC or MCC credentials who are looking to expand their skills and explore new dimensions in the coach-coachee relationship.

Goals

As a participant in this program, coaches will enrich their professional practice through the development of advanced coaching skills and tools. They will work on evolved ways of putting their active listening skills at the service of the client, as well as reflective tools for the creation of a space for transformation and learning at the service of their client.

Methodology

  • Combination of theory, practice and reflection, which ensures a comprehensive and profound learning experience.
  • Experiential approach that promotes experimentation and reflection.
  • Direct application of techniques and tools in coaching sessions.
  • Encourage personal and professional growth.

Participants will enjoy an opportunity to work with expert coach Luis Carchak, MCC by ICF. Luis will accompany and share with participants those failures and successful experiences that resulted in becoming an artisan of coaching. Luis masters the subtle, highly artisanal tools that hold great impact towards customer learning.

Syllabus

Nurturing listening

What fear usually possesses us coaches that prompts us not to maintain silence in our sessions?

Listening is letting yourself be transformed by the other person's words. You will train specific skills:

  • Use of silence as a tool for active listening.
  • Explore energy changes, non-verbal cues, and other behaviours.
  • Reflect and summarize to ensure quality and comprehension.
  • To sustain presence, contact and questioning from a shared silence.

Mirrors

How to polish one's own mirror to accompany others on the path of their engagement?

You will train 12 different types of mirrors to help your coachee to better calibrate their view of themselves and their environment. Among them, the non-judgemental mirror.

  • Evoking awareness.
  • Non-attached sharing of observations, intuitions, comments, thoughts and inviting the client to explore them.
  • Ask direct, clear and open questions, allowing space to think.

Paradoxes

How to invite the client to develop a more complex mindset and to address challenges more effectively?

The word 'paradox' is used to describe a seemingly contradictory statement or situation that may nevertheless have a logical or true explanation.

You will practice how to:

Recognize and explore seemingly contradictory dilemmas. Promote acceptance of ambiguity.
Accept uncertainty and entropy as part of the solution. Develop systems thinking skills.

Group practices

Participants will practice in groups in order to consolidate learning, as well as to identify possible steps needed in their practice to create a deep learning space for their client.

At the suggestion of the trainer, each participant will complete and work on the proposed readings.
