"Without rules of the game it is very difficult to operate as a team", assures Joan Díaz, director of EEC Catalonia, who collaborated in the Coaching Psychology Research Day of the Official College of Psychologists of Catalonia. An event in which the experts concluded that team coaching is going to be a fundamental tool that will continue to develop and glimpsed that it is "a profession that is emerging, that is growing and that is being made".
The psychology and team coaching professionals gathered during the conference also insisted that it is essential to reinforce the role of the emotionally aware leader, because "the management of emotions is key for leaders to be able to generate, manage and create the emotional contexts necessary for action".
Joan Díaz, who is also an executive coach and team coach, presented the working model of Escuela Europea de Coaching and defined a team with the EEC slogan, "intelligent people do not make an intelligent team, but an intelligent team does make its members more intelligent". On the other hand, the expert said that the rules of the game are "fundamental" and "relevant". The session began with a presentation of the Coaching Psychology Section of the COPC, The debate was led by Carmen Santos, president of the section, and the explanations of Marga Segarra, coordinator of the Team Coaching line of work, on the work of the group, the objectives of the line, the motivations and the projects. The debate was coordinated by Lola Gómez and revolved around three axes: the coach vision, the organisation-client vision and the future vision of team coaching. Joan Díaz was joined by other guests such as Oscar Boule, César Fernández, Xavier Garcia, Emilio Ronco and Joan Seix.
