"Being a coach is not always the initial objective of the students who come to our programmes. On many occasions, participants come in search of tools to give a boost to their way of communicating, relating to others or to improve the coordination of their teams", say the heads of EEC, a pioneering coaching company in Spain, which in May will give its star training in Andorra.
The Executive Coaching Certification Programme, the EEC explains, "is attended by people who want to move away from black and white, from more of the same, and who want to achieve that extra that they know they have inside but are unable to grasp, as well as people who are very clear that they want to start working as professional coaches". The EEC Executive Coaching Certification has, therefore, a dual focus as it is specific training in management skills and coaching competencies, what EEC calls the Dual Power of the certification programme.
In the programme, the participant incorporates skills that every leader needs such as listening, empathising, giving feedback, coordinating actions and achieving results by practising as a coach and as a coaching client, and experiences first-hand what it is like to accompany a person to achieve their goals as well as to feel accompanied in achieving their own goals.
Internship and training in Andorra
In Andorra, EEC has been successfully delivering the first part of this programme since 2012. The next edition, to be held in September, will be the sixth edition of Cycle I of the EEC Executive Coaching Certification Programme in the Andorran capital.
For the EEC coordinator in Andorra, Saúl Larrayad, the first part of the programme, which lasts four days over a month, is a training "highly recommended for anyone who wants to live a really intense personal development training experience with which to improve their self-knowledge, work on key skills for personal leadership and for improving personal relationships, develop aspects of emotional intelligence and incorporate new skills that can help both personally and professionally".
