Rafael Echeverría is an influential Chilean sociologist and doctor of philosophy, recognised for developing the Ontology of Language discourse, a concept he coined in a book of the same name published in 1994. Both his theoretical proposal - which is part of a new interpretation of the human phenomenon1 - and his professional career, position him as a promoter and global reference for the discipline of ontological coaching.

The work offers a new interpretation of what it means to be human, based on the thesis that every social phenomenon is a linguistic phenomenon.

The book reviews the old parameters that have served as a basis for observing life, drawing on the influence of authors such as Maturana, Flores, Searle, Graves, Austin and Heidegger.
