The value of ontological coaching in an AI and digital world

In the age of generative AI and digital, we talk more and more with screens, but we still need something that no algorithm can fully deliver: a human, empathetic and transformative conversation.

In this context, we inaugurated the academic year at the Escuela Europea de Coaching with the webinar «Academic Presentation 2026: The Meaning of Coaching in the Age of AI and Digital».», with Manuela Rama and Lydia Vidal.

A year in which we will continue to focus on the value of the human and for the development of those capabilities that enable us to build trusting relationships, make conscious decisions and lead with meaning. This is not a whim. We were able to see how coaching, in particular, and softskills, in general, are in high demand in the world of work and cannot be substituted by AI, according to a report from World Economic Forum 2025.

The type of coaching that we practice at EEC, the ontological coaching, has a profound impact both inside and outside the company, inside and outside the individual: it is the lever that opens up new ways of looking at reality, of questioning the beliefs that limit us and of expanding the capacity for action of individuals and teams.

This is not just theory: it is also seen by those who train with us. During the meeting, Jordi Taña, The engineer and current student of the certification, shared how coaching training is helping him to better navigate the digital avalanche, gain perspective and converse differently with his interlocutors.

We enter 2026 and ask ourselves together: What distinctions do we still need in order to manage in this uncertain present time? We are talking about transforming, not just adapting; of inhabiting and managing time in another way; from a leadership that integrates love such as care, responsibility and respect for others. Distinctions that technology does not replace and that, on the contrary, become more relevant the more work environments are automated.

Therefore, starting a coaching training and starting to apply deep listening skills, powerful questions and transformative accompaniment is not just a training option: it is a competitive and human advantage.

Because, in just a few weeks, participants can be bringing these competencies to your conversations with clients, teams and collaborators. At EEC, we will continue to focus on the essential: the quality of the conversations that sustain the life and future of organisations.
