The International Team Coaching Programme of the Escuela Europea de Coaching starts next 19th March for the first time in Gran Canaria. A prestigious training that this pioneering coaching centre is already teaching in several Spanish cities as well as in Portugal, Italy, Mexico and Colombia.
A training that is a job opportunity for certified coaches, because it is not only individual coaching that is the lifeblood of organisational development. The road to extraordinary results is also paved with team coaching processes. A form of executive coaching that shares the same starting points and differs essentially in its approach.
"In team coaching, the focus is systemic and the objective is to align commitments and goals. A type of coaching that is practised in real time, as it is carried out during work meetings in which the coach is present as an authorised witness", say the heads of the EEC, who are organising this edition at the Gloria Palace Thalasso Hotel in Gran Canaria.
And as in all executive coaching, "the coach does not look at what is there but at what is missing, respects what is to be preserved and encourages the abandonment of what, in this case the team, no longer needs to achieve its objectives", explains Luis Carchak, MCC coach and director of specialisation programmes at the EEC. It is not team-building, it is not about making good time managers, team coaching is about coordinating actions and achieving results.
To this end, the EEC programme will have the collaboration of a real working team from a company, which will allow students to witness their meetings live and direct so that they can practice and exercise the tools of the team coach.
