Transforming the world from within: coaching for Oxfam Intermón

OXFAM INTERMON

"Caring for people is also about transforming the world".

Ramon Vallescar
Head of Training and Development Oxfam Intermón

Improving the world is a great mission. Accompanying the people who make it possible, from the field and from management, is a challenge that we share with Oxfam Intermón.

In an environment where the emotional load is intense and the workload seems endless, coaching allows us to take better care of our teams, to foster leadership based on trust and to help people face change through self-knowledge.

Ramón Valléscar, Head of Training and Development, tells how coaching has become a key tool and how they have managed to democratise this tool throughout the organisation, with more than 170 people having experienced coaching processes, not only in Spain, but also in countries such as Guatemala, Peru, Colombia and El Salvador.

The result is a real transformation in the way we lead, communicate, listen and support those at the forefront of major challenges. And it is to the credit of the processes framed within our Supervision'.
