A global presentation and a masterclass in emotions. With these words we could summarise the book launch of «Emotions and Bonds», the new publication by Silvia Guarnieri, an expert in emotional management, founding partner of the European School of Coaching, and Master Coach by ICF since 2003.
«We haven't been educated in emotions. We've been educated to converse, to produce results,» the expert began, speaking to a forum composed mostly of students and professional colleagues.
«We've been educated for many things, but probably not for feeling, or for knowing what we're feeling and what to do with it., Silvia Guarnieri continues, who, motivated by this interest in the emotional world, created the Expert Coach in Emotional Management programme and published the book «Emotions and Bonds» that year.
The book launch, which took place online within the EEC Alumni community, it became much more than that, as the author shared essential insights into emotional management, also included in the title «Emotions and Bonds».
Among the detailed ideas, there are themes as important for the development of emotional intelligence as «The legitimacy of emotions, the positive intention of emotions, the metaphor of emotion as a messenger, emotional addiction, and the individual character of emotion.
Likewise, in the presentation, Silvia dedicated a significant amount of time to answering questions previously posed by those registered for the activity, meaning the masterclass also had a certain element of personalised tutoring.
Silvia Guarnieri was accompanied by Eva López-Acevedo, co-founder of EEC and author of the foreword, and Juan Luis Ayuso, director of the Alumni community at EEC, a division of EEC that organises free activities to continue supporting coaches in their professional development.
