Luis Carchak, Team Coach expert debuts Team Coach credential in Spain

4 May 2023

Luis Carchak, author, MCC coach, organisational culture change expert and director of the Team Coaching programme, has just received another of ICF's new credentials, the recently created ACTC (Advanced Certification in Team Coaching), i.e. Accredited Coach as a Team Coach.

The coach, facilitator, supervisor and author of the book "Coaching in Practice" shares his first impressions after receiving this career credential.

Luis, congratulations on your new ACTC credential. What are your thoughts on it?
"I am deeply grateful for this recognition and declare myself as a learner in constant evolution. For me, the International Coach Federation's most demanding exam represents an opportunity to continue improving the practice of team coaching, increasing the quality of our services and strengthening our ability to train other coaches in this discipline".

As a pioneer of Team Coaching in several countries, how would you describe the importance of this practice in the business world?
"Team Coaching is an essential practice in the business world as it helps teams to increase their performance and achieve more ambitious goals. Through working with a coach, teams can develop leadership and collaboration skills, enabling them to make more informed decisions and address challenges more effectively.

In addition to your ACTC credential, the European Coaching School's Team Coaching programme has also been recognised with another seal, the AATC. This is a double achievement.
"That's right. The EEC has obtained the highest ICF certification for our International Team Coaching Programme, which I have the honour of directing. This achievement is not only double, but multiple and infinite. This new seal, the ICF AATC to the programme, is of great importance because it gives future coaches the opportunity to obtain their own Team Coach credential, ACTC, after completing the programme.

This is the objective behind our commitment to excellence and quality. It is not recognition for recognition's sake, but for what it means for the development of the people, teams and organisations we come into contact with.

What are your plans for the future?
"As a coach, my goal is to keep learning and improving constantly. This involves keeping up to date with the latest trends in team coaching, participating in ongoing training programmes and undergoing regular appraisals to improve my own performance. It is also essential for me to share my knowledge and experience with others, either through mentoring or teaching".
