How to get started as a coach is, in general, a question shared by people after training in coaching and, in particular, one that the GICAF group, which brings together people who have trained in the Specialisation in Families and Adolescents of the Escuela Europea de Coaching, has tried to answer.
This working and innovation group, whose aim is to continue developing reflections, initiatives and support for the people who are part of this learning community, has just held a virtual meeting to respond precisely to queries from its newest and most recent members: how to set up projects and experiences of accompaniment for adolescents and their families.
Thus, on Wednesday 19 April, GICAF members met online to discuss and share knowledge. The meeting was hosted by coach and facilitator of the programme Rosa Barriusowas moderated by Verónica Alexanderson ÁlvarezThe meeting was inspired by the student of the specialisation.
During the meeting, former EEC students presented their papers and shared with absolute generosity how they have been opening their paths in these environments.
Among the professionals who shared how they have set up their different professional projects in this sector were Angels Garciawho spoke about the impact of social media on adolescent education; Montse Remirowhich presented a family welfare programme for companies; Elsa Jiménezwho spoke about the development of tools and methods for working with adolescents and families; Silvia Estévez shared his knowledge of adolescent education through social services and public bodies, while Catalina Muñoz presented his experience in private office development.
The members of the Gicaf group, Grupo de Innovación en Coaching para Adolescentes y Familias, are all students who have already completed the EEC's Specialisation Programme in Adolescents and Families. In this space, they are given support and advice to launch their coaching ideas linked to the family and educational environment.
