The presentation of the book in Spain will take place at Escuela Europea de Coaching on 12 March.

Escuela Europea de Coaching hosts the presentation in Spain of the new publication by the expert in politics and coaching, Juan Vera. Entitled 'Articuladores de lo posible' (Articulators of the possible), the book will be presented on Thursday 12 March at an online event.

Juan Vera, consultant, coach and political expert, will share his latest reflections and concerns about politics and society today, particularly in Chile, where he lives.

"In the same way that there are signs of pessimism in this moment of radicalisation and emerging populisms, there are also others that point to a concern for the sustainability of the planet and its resources, for a new civic spirit, for the eradication of inequality, for a reformulation of a more participatory democracy. Chile, the country where I live, is an example of a social outburst that contains in similar proportions, a new spirit of democratic engagement and participation and an individualistic violence without systemic awareness. Whether we have a clear future or a dark future will depend on our decisions in the present we live in.

A conversation on power, coaching and politics

The virtual meeting in conversation format between the author and Luis Carchak, EEC senior coach and expert on culture change in organisations, will also be open to comments from listeners and participants to discuss power, politics and how coaching and coaches can participate in these contexts.

Juan Vera's message is positive. He is a staunch defender of politics: "However discredited politics and power may be, we cannot distance ourselves from them, because they are part of our lives and because as social beings we form an essential part of the dynamics of politics and power. We need more and better politics and an attitude committed to life and to the society in which we live. Otherwise, what future does boredom build, and who benefits from the boredom of citizens who leave politics?
